Tasting Notes Veuve Clicquot has released the iconic Yellow Label Brut in an innovative Eco Gift Box. This boundary-pushing and plastic-free packaging has been made from hemp and recycled paper. That instantly recognisable yellow glow that we all know and love is still present, but now it's completely recyclable and much more environmentally friendly. The history of this famous Champagne house dates back to 1772 when Philippe Clicquot founded a wine-making business under the name Clicquot. In 1810 this was renamed Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin after the young widow Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin inherited the estate. Ever in pursuit of excellence and innovation, Madame Clicquot used her skills to develop an exceptional wine-growing territory and went on to establish what is today one of the most iconic names in Champagne. Veuve Clicquot's signature style is a fine and elegant balance between freshness and complexity. The nose is reminiscent of white fruits and raisins, evolving into vanilla and brioche. On the palate, the wine is powerful, well-structured and admirably vinous. Yellow Label is perfect served on its own but can complement lightly cooked seafood, fish tartare, duck or croissants.
