It displays a combination of butter festive spices toasted bread and mixed peel reminiscent of hot cross buns plus ginger oak toasted nuts marzipan creamy custard and Sherry. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley that's triple-distilled in a traditional copper pot still it first appeared in 1912 when Gilbeys began selling a whiskey distilled by Jameson's that they had matured for 12 years.
