Inspired by a fragment of early 18th century wallpaper which is still preserved on a wall behind the scenes at Hampton Court Palace and an original document of this design held in GP & J Baker’s own archive. This whimsical design depicts tow men on horseback amongst birds of prey and trees laden with acorns and pinecones. The details of the huntsman's clothing allow an estimate date of the original wallpaper to c.1720.
