Tasting Notes This rich nutty liqueur is an Italian classic crafted using the finest Tonda Gentile hazelnuts from Piedmont. These plump hazelnuts are harvested shelled toasted crushed and steeped in alcohol. This nutty infusion is then distilled before being further enhanced with extracts and distillates of cocoa coffee and vanilla. It's one of those liqueurs that you forget just how good it is then you taste it again and promptly smash through the bottle. Pour a shot each of Frangelico and hot coffee over vanilla ice cream to create the ultimate affogato; sip it neat with friends at the end of a meal; mix with fresh lime and ice; or shake it into any nut-based cocktail. Literally go nuts. According to legend Frangelico was first made by the monks of northern Italy over 300 years ago hence the cassock-shaped bottle .
