Tasting Notes Awarded 94 points by Whisky Advocate named World Whisky of the Year by Jim Murray in 2009 and a regular winner of gold medals at the World Whiskies Awards and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition over the last couple of years Ardbeg Uigeadail is an iconic Scotch. The 120 000+ members of the Ardbeg Committee also voted it their favourite Ardbeg. Now that's an endorsement. Following the sad demise of Airigh nam Beist this became the ultimate dram in their core range. Pronounced "Oog-a-dal" it takes its name from the loch that feeds water into this distillery on the Kildalton Coast. Bottled at full strength it's a marriage of heavily peated Single Malt aged in Bourbon barrels and Sherry butts. Dark brooding and packed with warm tar liquid smoke rich dried fruit bacon seaweed black pepper bike oil espresso bonfires burnt granola honey treacle and those fancy long strips of orange peel dipped in dark chocolate and sprinkled with sea salt. If you haven't tasted this legendary Islay whisky rectify that immediately. Product Details Country: Scotland Alcohol by volume (ABV): 54.2% Volume: 700ml
