Tasting Notes First created in 1927 Ancho Reyes is based on a traditional recipe from Puebla a town in Mexico known for its ancho chillies which are dried and smoked poblanos. These precious chillies are macerated in cane spirit for six months producing a fiery drink that can be enjoyed as a shot or used to spice up a wide range of classic cocktails such as the Margarita Daiquiri or Paloma. Slightly pungent in flavour profile attractive notes of dried chili spices cinnamon cocoa tamarind and wet wood with light herbal infusions make this a unique and delicious addition to any spirits collection or back bar.
