We're not big fans of its highly questionable name but the Porn Star Martini is officially the most googled cocktail in the world and according to Imbibe Magazine it has become "the go-to drink for the British bar-going public". This hedonistic and rudely tropical modern classic was invented in the early 2000s by Douglas Ankrah of The Townhouse bar in Knightsbridge just down the road from our flagship store. But the Porn Star Martini would be nothing without the big hit of Brazilian passionfruit provided by the bright red liqueur known as Passoa. To make the popular cocktail simply shake Passoa vanilla vodka (or plain vodka and a little vanilla syrup) lime juice and fresh passionfruit pulp with ice and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Float half a cut passionfruit on the top if you're feeling fancy. And if you want to make the experience even more explicit then serve the cocktail alongside a chilled shot glass of Champagne sipping the two drinks alternately. If you're looking for an alternative way of using Passoa then why not add a little splash to a glass of fizz rather like a tropical twist on a Bellini or a Kir Royale. It can also be topped up with ginger ale slipped into a Margarita or used to add a little more passion to a rose and orange juice Sangria.
